India Retold is a well-written and well designed blog with articles on the subject of India and more specifically issues relating to how India is improving in many areas in order to become a greater country. There were very few advertisements on the blog and the articles were all very relevant to the subject matter. The polls made the blog more fun and interactive which was a great addition.

Diligent Design is a nicely designed blog about making a good website. It is more about designing and marketing a site well rather than making heaps of money from it, which does make a change from many of the blogs out there. It isn’t against making money but rather approaching blogging from the angle that you want to produce a good quality product and a great presence and that should encourage the money in rather than just searching for the money and adapting the site around that.
An American in France is a very useful website for anyone from the USA visiting or moving to France. It has practical advice on living in the country, particularly highlighting things that are different to the USA. For example there is an article on how to order steak, as this is quite different to doing so in America. There are also articles on other practical things to do when out such as grocery shopping and ordering things at the newstand. There is also a very useful article on getting a job in France. The articles are clearly and simply written so they can be easily understood, which is great. The site is well indexed and easy to navigate. There is very little advertising and all blog posts are totally relevant. Really useful if you are considering moving to France, are about to move to France or just interested in French and European culture.

Crucifire’s Lair is a mix of articles, most of the recent ones being cartoons. These are great little funnies and well worth a look if you want a laugh. The website is easy to navigate and although I am not keen on the black background it is otherwise visually pleasing and well laid out.

Dreamwalker is very much a personal blog. However, the posts are written with the obvious in intention that anyone may read it so you do not feel so much like you are reading someones personal diary but that they are reading it out loud to you. The posts were well written and there were not too many obviously sponsored posts and not too many advertisements either.
Simpson’s Paradise is quite a personal blog with accounts of things that are happening in the life of the author. If you like nosing into people lives and seeing how other people live then this would be a good blog for you to read. It has a nice design and I liked the amount of photographs that it had. There were just a few advertisements in the side bar so nothing off putting.
